Founder and Director of Little Sun People, Inc. Fela Barclift completed her undergraduate work in Education at Brooklyn College and attained her Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision at Bank Street College.

While serving as director at Little Sun People Fela also assumed the leadership of a second community early childhood institution: Little Sun People, Too!, a fully funded city day care center also located in Bedford-Stuyvesant until city funding programs were merged into large corporate agencies.

Fela is also a passionate Bedford-Stuyvesant community activist and continues to contribute by fostering alliances between small business owners and volunteering to assist community members whenever and however possible.  Fela serves on the Board of Directors for Child Development Support Corporation, and Little Sun People, Inc. and is a member of NAACP and The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.

Fela routinely takes part in trainings, classes, and educational conferences in order to refresh her knowledge of current practice and policy as well as emerging trends in early childhood education.
