Organized as a not-for-profit corporation under the laws of the State of New York and granted 501(c)3 status by the IRS, Little Sun People (LSP) Inc is governed by a Board of Directors. The LSP Board of Directors is a dedicated and highly accomplished group of individuals who are deeply committed to culturally responsive education and working to grow and expand LSP's reach to many more children and their families in New York City.
The Board of Directors is entrusted with the stewardship of the institution so that it is strong and sustainable for future generations of LSP students and families. It provides strategic oversight, leads the financial support of the school to ensure its fiscal health and is devoted to nurturing and adhering to the school’s mission and vision. The Board welcomes the opportunity to work in partnership with our Founder & Executive Director, Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and the entire Little Sun People Community. The Board meets approximately once every month throughout the school year and convenes over the summer for intensive strategic planning.
